Ruta Pacífica de las Mujeres warmly invites Women in Black vigils, activists and partner organisations around the world to participate in the Women in Black International Conference, which celebrates 30 years of work of Ruta Pacífica de las Mujeres in Colombia. We also invite you to submit presentation proposals about this year’s main theme: Context of wars and conflicts in the world and their impacts on women´s lives. It will be a space to share our experiences, visions and alternative ways to work for peace, life and coexistence from a feminist, pacifist and antimilitarist perspective.
The presentations should be in English and Spanish ( We will consider adding additional language(s) depending on the number of proposals received in those languages) and last approximately 45 minutes: 30 minutes for the presentation and 15 minutes for questions from the audience. It is possible to present individually or collectively. Ruta Pacífica de las Mujeres will select 12 proposals, which will be presented during the three first days of the Meeting. On the fourth day, there will be a session on the redesign of Women in Black’s website, plus another session during which Women in Black vigils can share news about their groups. In addition, summaries and lessons learned from the presentations and discussions will be shared, as well as proposals for global actions.
